Active Project: Community-Based Elections Oversight project

In ensuring that good governance is achieved in a society, democratic elections are of paramount importance as this ensures a popular legitimate government that enjoys the support of the majority of the public.

This project aims at looking into how Kenya’s electoral system is managed at the local level; ensuring that communities know the importance of voting and election of good leaders as well as participating in elections determines the kind of life one desires.

This project furthermore seeks to sanitize the electoral systems at the local level to ensure that the region of operation sees minimal electoral malpractices and electoral violence as it is always the case during run – inn to general elections in Kenya.

1. The project mainly builds the capacity of youths and women to be able to understand the importance of elections and Kenya’s electoral system.
2. Conduct elections education within the public.
3. Work with the elections authorities at the local level to ensure the integrity of Kenya’s elections through election observation during the electioneering period in a way to reduce malpractices.
